This policy explains how Sleek App, the Android reminders app published by Andrew Smith, handles information when you use it. It applies to the Play Store app and related support for that app. The newer Sleek web app may have additional features and its own disclosures.
Information you provide
To provide the app, we process information you enter or upload, which may include your name, email address, phone number, account details, profile image, contacts you add, business card information, and the details of activities, appointments, reminders and groups. These details may contain information about other people when you add them as contacts or invitees. Only add or share information you are authorised to use.
Information used to operate the app
When you use the app, we may process account identifiers, device and notification tokens, app interactions, and technical information needed to sign you in, deliver reminders and notifications, maintain the service, diagnose errors, and protect accounts. The app may ask for relevant device permissions, such as notifications or access to photos, when you choose a feature that needs them. You can manage permissions in Android settings. If you do not provide information needed for a feature, that feature may not work.
How we use information
- To create and manage accounts and show your activities, appointments, contacts, groups and business cards.
- To deliver the reminders, invitations, shared content and notifications you request or receive.
- To respond to support requests, maintain the app, resolve faults and protect the service from misuse.
Sharing and service providers
When you share an activity, appointment, contact, group or business card, the information you choose to share can be shown to the recipients you select. Group information can be visible to the relevant group members. Other users may also see the name or profile details needed to identify who sent or received an invitation.
We use service providers, including Google's Firebase infrastructure for app data and notification delivery, to operate the service. They process information for those functions under their applicable terms. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users and the service, or with your direction. Storage, security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including access controls and secure connections where applicable. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process or store information outside your country. We keep information while it is needed to provide the service or meet applicable obligations, then delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed, subject to practical backup and legal requirements.
Your choices and requests
You can review or change information available in your account and control app permissions and notifications through the app or your device. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information or account, contact info@sleekapp.net. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some information already shared with another user may remain in that user's account, and some records may need to be retained where legally required.
Children
Sleek App is a general reminders and sharing service. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authority, contact us so we can review the matter.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app or its data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is posted at this address.
